Munibit is a website platform built specifically for small municipalities, counties, townships, and main streets across the United States. Most website platforms were built for businesses. Munibit was built for local governments.

Small local governments face a specific set of challenges: ADA compliance requirements, limited budgets, small or non-existent IT staff, and the need to keep public records and meeting documents accessible at all times. General-purpose website builders were not designed with any of that in mind. Munibit fills that gap.

Every feature in the Munibit platform exists because local governments need it. Document management, public notices, online payments, accessibility support, and more, all built in, all included, no third-party plugins required. The platform is built to support WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, which aligns with ADA Title II requirements for local government websites.

Munibit serves small cities, towns, townships, villages, boroughs, and counties. We typically work with municipalities serving populations under 10,000 and counties under 20,000 that cannot justify enterprise software costs. Plans start at $99/month with no surprise fees, no design fees, and no long-term contracts.

The company was founded by Randy Schilling and is headquartered in St. Charles, Missouri. Randy is also the founder of OPO Startups, an innovation hub and co-working space on Historic Main Street in St. Charles, and the former CEO and Founder of BoardPaq and Quilogy. He and CTO Alan Groh have worked together for over 30 years delivering technology solutions. Munibit is an independent, family-owned and operated business.
